Motor Homes
Have you ever wanted travel and stay at home at he same? Motor homes are a perfect option for that family on the go or for the budget conscious. Most motor homes include a kitchenette, bathroom and sleeping areas. They are often parked in trailer parks where families rest during a long trip. Motor homes can be like a “hotel on wheels” and vary in quality as well as design.
There are class A motor homes which have bus-type custom bodies on trucks. The driver’s seats swivel around to create living room seating when you are not driving. These are spacious motor homes that give a fine view of the road, but the disadvantage with these models is that they are build of fiberglass and aluminum and are not so safe in case of a collision. Type B motor homes are conversion vehicles that can be parked anywhere. However, type B motor homes can be quite cramped and are not for long-term dwelling. Type C motor homes are well-designed for families and are appropriate for long-term dwelling, but the two front seats do not swivel and remain permanently fixed in a driving position.
Some motor homes have engines that are converted from greyhound buses.
These diesel engines are more affordable and durable, but can be noisier
and can cost more to maintain. Whatever engines you choose, it is easy to
find affordable motor homes, and many good quality motor homes are available
used as well as new. Make sure you purchase your motor home from a reputable
dealer who will give you a warrantee. You should also educate yourself on
the proper procedure for what to do if your motor home should break down
and how to give your vehicle proper maintenance. When given proper care
and attention, motor homes can last for many years and provide memories
of enjoyable travel for the entire family.
